Course Education In Princeton

The hardest day was saved for last. Harder than Rocky Hill? and only 28 miles. Yes. 4 Corners over a 2.5 mile circuit with and up and down on every lap. Some riders asked to make the Pro-3 event longer. The Pain, the Pain, no this was not a relapse of Fantacy Island, this is after a hard TT and a tough Road Race, the pain factor was on. Rite-Aid was had the train on the front in an attempt to break the legs of the Empire Cycing team and the GC Leader Mike Margarite. It was all out war between the amatur squad and the Pros for every time bonus. The back side climb lap after lap was full of attacks but nobody could make a break stick. Every move being brought back by Empire and the sprinters teams trying to nail the final Stage win. On the last lap the Rite-Aid Train got put on the front and it was on for the up hill sprint to the line. In the end Richard Geng (Rite-Aid) pulled off the stage win followed by Lisban Quintero (Foundation) and John Erdelyi (Rite-Aid). But Mike Margarite (Empire) held on to the Rose Jersey to take the GC win.

The Masters Race saw John Durso take a much needed win for this Liberty Cycling Team. John was in the top 5 in Rocky Hill Last year in the Pro123. The Masters Leader Jersey was stolen by Troy Kimball of (Westwood Velo-Trade Manage). This was an impressive win for the father of 2. Sal Abbruzzese (Blue Ribbon) lost by 8 seconds (Sound Familiar) I do not want to draw any comparisons to Laurent Fignon but this had to be just as devistating to the masters rider.

The mens 3/4 Race was taken out by William Fissel (Eastern Mobile) GC in the 3/4 followed by Filip Capala (Capala Brothers/Polska) and Angel Martinez (Atlantic 3D). Scott Brooks (NEBC/Cycle Loft) took the overall GC followed by Angel Martinez and Filip Capala to round out the top three.

The Womens race saw a change in GC. Laura McCaughey (Juice Plus) took the stage and the GC win folloed by Jacquelyn Crowell (Team Kenda Tire). The Stage and GC was in the same order followed by Rachel Warner (Juice Plus).

The Juniors race was Taken by Colavita Rider Steven Tvedt. Steve also took the GC followed by Dan Blauvelt (Colavita) and David Stires (Century Road Club).
