Team Sustainable Cycling Gears Up For A Great 2010!
Everyone’s favorite environmentally conscious cycling team is back looking to pick up where they left off last season: as one of the top Cat. 3 amateur cycling teams in the Midwest. Team Sustainable Cycling (TSC) has big ambitions for 2010 that stretch much further than just the racing scene. The team is planning to expand upon their ‘green’ mission with some new tactics aimed at helping empower people to make more environmentally conscious decisions in their own daily lives.
TSC has added three new riders to the roster for 2010: Justin Bush, James Heth, and Isaiah Newkirk (who actually rode with the team late last season). Each rider brings great experience to the team and helps bolster the speed, strength, and depth of the roster. The team will again target local races across the Midwest with an emphasis on the Indiana racing scene. Specific racing goals will include Indiana State Championship events and larger regional crits such as the Hyde Park Blast in Cincinnati, which was recently added to the prestigious USA Crits Series.
On the ‘green’ front, TSC has some great plans to continue to spread awareness and education to everyone they can reach. The team will continue its carbon neutral commitment for race travel and is partnering with Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, Inc. for volunteer opportunities. KIB is one of Indiana's premiere environmentally focused not-for-profits. TSC also has some great multimedia plans in the works that they are excited to announce soon. New sponsors for 2010 include First Financial Bank and Enkei America who join an already great sponsor line-up. Also, GU Energy will fuel TSC for training and racing events in 2010. The team is excited and thankful for the new support these great companies will offer this season.
The team starts the racing season in earnest this weekend in Loisville, KY for the Long Run Park Circuit Race. The roster for this event includes Blake Voges, Spencer Dell, Eric Johnson, Chris Pfeiffer, and Isaiah Newkirk.
