What
a day. Lindsay Wilson College hosted a beautiful countryside race,
on some of the most beautiful landscape in Kentucky. It was a
little chilly at the start, but I'm sure the climbs provided some
warmth, along with abundant sunshine. The course was a 25 mile
loop, with 2 large short climbs, and a few long easier accents.
The
123's had a 7 man break, after a few hills, for 3 loops around
the Columbia countryside, and 3/4's, 4/5's. and the women, went
2 laps, for 50 miles. Kevin Attkisson and Barbasols's Rolf Eisinger
battled it out on the last climb, with Kevin taking the win. In
the 3/4 category, Papa John's teen sensation, Andrew Lllewellyn,
took a pull up the first hillclimb, and pulled away from the best
of the 3/4's the rest of the day, racing in for the win. Nike
Dalaire gave Huber a run for her money today, climbing her way
behind Texas Roadhouse's best. She almost came up with the win,
falling short just inches. The 4/5's also went 50 miles on this
grueling mountain goat of a course. Team Northwestern, from Chicago,
came down to make a mark, and Will Nowak took the line. Junior
racer Kyle Anderson is to move up. He's rolling in the W's. Making
a mark at the Green River Road Race for Texas Roadhouse, taking
the win.
